Watersports are very
popular in Antigua and many resorts
and beaches offer a wide range of
different activities including windsurfing,
water skiing, sailing and paragliding.
Boats can be chartered privately or
you can join one of several excursions
which sail round the island on either
half or full day trips. There is a
trip to suit everyone’s preferences
– the young at heart can take a journey
on the Jolly Roger and enjoy a ‘traditional’
pirate wedding as well as walking
the plank and plenty of rum punch!
Sit back and relax as the professional crew of Ivy take you on a voyage of discovery. All in the comfort of your very own 48ft private sailing yacht. Alternatively, help the skipper hoist the sail and try your hand at the helm of Antigua' friendliest private charter vessel. Based in Falmouth Harbour, we offer Full Day, Half Day and Sunset Cruises to all of Antigua's most beautiful locations. Sail to the deserted beaches of Green Island, snorkel off Rendevous Bay or come aboard and visit Nelson's Dockyard from a new perspective.
Other activities on
the Island include horse-riding, which
can be organised through the Spring
Hill Riding Club, situated in Turtle
Bay, just 5 minutes from the house
and deep-sea fishing which can be
arranged through a number of outlets
in English Harbour and St Johns.
Shirley Heights is
one of the most popular excursions
in Antigua. Each Sunday tourists and
locals alike make the trek up the
hill to one of the highest points
on the island. At the top, a large
wooden sheltered area provides a barbecue
serving traditional grilled and some
local delicacies, (such as blackened
flying fish).
A lively, Caribbean
band play throughout the day and as
the sun goes down the rum-punch flows
ever more freely and revelry is actively
encouraged! Join in the dancing and
limbo, or just enjoy your dinner overlooking
the night- lights across the south
of the island, every first time visitor
to Antigua must try this once! The
